Job Description:

The Technology Application Specialist within the OAFC practice role involves participating in the OAFC technology ticketing, administration and evolution of our technology stack, automation of our processes, and acting as liaison with software vendors. The application specialist will play a key role in the technology ticketing and will have a pivotal role in implementing technology solutions, managing data, and ensuring the team provides a high level of client account services with regards to automation, data visualization, and appropriate choices in accounting software.

Responsibilities:

Tech Stack Implementation and Optimization:

  • Working with OAFC automation team for enhancing the departments tech stack and optimization of technology stacks to meet specific client requirements.
  • Working closely with partner and application specialist to outline department automation initiatives, assist with the development of SWOT analysis on technology demos and platforms.
  • Tailoring tech stack solutions based on client needs.
  • Assist in upgrading clients to QBO, Intaact, Sage from QBD or other platforms.
  • Review technology platforms available in the marketplace to determine use cases.

Client Account Services:

  • Collaborating with team members to provide support on technology for operational efficiency for clients.
  • Formulating strategies that align with clients' business and accounting goals.
  • Assist in the buildout of effective Enhanced Management Reporting tools for clients using third party application – Reach Reporting

Automation and innovation:

  • Lead innovation and drive change – be a part of showcasing tech in the finance setting.
  • Drive and create video and training content for team members.

Project Management:

  • Leading projects on data conversion and file migrations.
  • Play a pivotal role in advancing automation efforts of the practice.
  • Assist with project management in technology application onboarding and change management.

Point of Contact:

  • Assist and be a liaison for the department regarding software issues.
  • Assist and be a liaison with dedicated account managers from software vendors.
  • Managing third-party vendors

Help Desk and Ticketing Manage Technology Communications for the OAFC Team

  • Answer IT Helpdesk tickets pertaining to our tech stack with clients.
  • Act as Admin on all Tech Stack Partner Platforms
  • Staying current on current tech stack and communicate changes as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • AS, BS or BA in Accounting or related degree
  • Accounting background preferred
  • Proficient experience with ERP and accounting systems - within QBO, Sage Intaact, Net Suite Preferred; BILL; Stampli, Expensify
  • Proficient with technology and excited about automation and innovation.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Team player with a positive “can-do” approach
