Senior Software Engineer – Telecom & Virtualization

Remote Role – Must be located in Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, New Jersey, or Delaware with the Ability to go onsite when needed

3+ month contract potential for continued extension/conversion (W2)

About Role:

1. This role involves not just software development but also managing operational technical challenges within the Core Virtualization project, requiring a developer who is team-oriented, results-driven, and skilled in development, operational analysis, and the Agile & DevOps life cycles.

Must-Have Skills:

1. 6+ years of experience as a software engineer working with C++
2. Well versed in data structures and Algorithms for designing efficient, scalable software
3. Networking experience- understanding and implementing complex L2/L3 flows
4. Linux software development experience
5. Background in Cable/ telecommunications industry

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. Experience as a Software lead - Coding/Monitoring/Managing
2. Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, DevOps experience
3. Strong debugging skills

Day-to-day responsibilities:

1. Developing well-tested, ready-for-production code.
2. Contributing to design and architecture discussions.
3. Creating robust deployment and monitoring systems.
4. Providing support for production environments.
5. Conducting code reviews and engaging in agile software development activities.
6. Collaborating positively with team members.
7. Adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership.
8. Keen attention to detail and high level of commitment.
9. An ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced agile setting.
10. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment. Requirements change quickly, and our team needs to constantly adapt to moving targets.
11. Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions to a diverse audience.
