Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to manage and enhance our development environments for our Application Development and AI/ML Development teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS infrastructure, development support, and a strong background in modern DevOps practices. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation, scalability, and security of our development processes.


Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management:
  1. Oversee and maintain AWS infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
  2. Manage and configure AWS services including SageMaker, IAM Roles, Security Groups, and Permissions (VPC/VPN configurations).
  3. Implement and manage AWS AppRunner, Redis (ElastiCache), Kubernetes (EKS), and Kafka for container orchestration and data streaming.
Development Support:
  1. Support Application Development teams working with React, .NET, and SQL Server.
  2. Assist AI/ML Development teams utilizing Databricks (Lakehouse), and AWS SageMaker.
  3. Automate and streamline development and deployment processes across the organization.
Security and Compliance:
  1. Ensure robust security measures are in place, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
  2. Manage IAM roles and security groups to maintain secure access controls.
Collaboration and Improvement:
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and provide tailored DevOps solutions.
  2. Continuously improve development support processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  2. Extensive experience with AWS services and infrastructure management.
  3. Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
  4. Experience with AWS AppRunner and Kubernetes (EKS).
  5. Strong understanding of security practices and IAM management.
  6. Experience supporting development teams using React, .NET, SQL Server, Databricks, and AWS SageMaker.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  8. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  9. Understanding Github Version Control/Github Actions
  10. Understanding of HIPAA & SOC 2 requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
  2. Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
  3. Familiarity with machine learning and data engineering workflows.
  4. Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  5. Familiarity with OpenSearch, DynamoDB, Kafka
  6. Familiarity with Jenkins
