Position Overview:
The Post-Closer/Servicer will be responsible for managing the post-closing process and servicing loans in our lending portfolio. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a deep understanding of the lending industry, and the ability to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in loan servicing, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Post-Closing Duties:
- Review and verify all closing documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all post-closing conditions are met and documented.
- Coordinate with title companies, escrow agents, and other parties to resolve any post-closing issues.
- File and upload collateral packages to respective counterparties.
- Coordinate with internal accounting teams to facilitate front-end reconciliation.
Loan Servicing:
- Manage expedient onboarding/offboarding and record keeping of all loans in line with our respective capital parties requirements.
- Reconcile short interest, first payment, and intermediate impounds with interim servicer.
- Prepare month end escrow reports to third party administrators and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on loan performance and servicing metrics.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in loan servicing.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Resolve borrower inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Facilitate ongoing draw requests for ongoing bridge loans.
- Coordinate with borrowers to provide pay-off statements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and partners.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the real estate lending industry, specifically in post-closing and loan servicing roles.
- Proven track record of managing a loan portfolio with high efficiency and accuracy.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Non-QM Investment lending practices and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in loan servicing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
