We are looking for an experienced Proposal Writer who has extensive experience responding to federal requests for proposals (RFPs). You must be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The Proposal Writer is responsible for managing the proposal development process, including content development, organization of proposal materials, editing and formatting of client deliverables, and production & post-production activities. Other essential tasks include drafting persuasive, strategic, and high-quality content for proposals and other media, including brochures, social media, and websites. The role will also collaborate with our marketing team, senior leadership team, and other subject matter experts and support other tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
Work with the leadership team to finalize win strategy/discriminators and appropriate writing and Subject Matter Expert (SME) resources.
Prepare all supporting proposal development documentation (outline, team assignments, proposal management plan, schedule, kick-off meeting materials).
Prepare staffing plans (including resumes), management plans (including Organizational Charts), and identification of Past Performance references.
Develop questions for submission; monitor amendments and perform impact assessment upon receipt of Q&A and all modifications.
Strong aptitude for improving organization, flow, readability, completeness, and clarity of technically intensive proposals.
Responsible for final submission and ensuring content conforms to RFP and client requests.
Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
2 - 5 years of experience as a Proposal Writer as well as experience leading the proposal lifecycle.
Knowledge of Federal Request For Proposals (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), FAR Regulations and GSA MASS Contracting vehicles.
Strong writing skills, grammar, spelling, editing, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook; Adobe PDF.
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
Flexible and open to changing schedules and priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed timeframes.
Desired Experience and Skills:
BA/BS (or equivalent experience) in Journalism, English, or Technical Concentration.
Ability to translate highly technical information into pieces that are easily understood by a wide variety of audiences.
