HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO:

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer (10+ years of experience). The role focuses on Java backend development, identity integration, and cloud-based services, working within a modern Java and Azure ecosystem. The developer will work primarily on backend services, authentication integrations, and event-driven architecture, while collaborating with frontend developers.

1. Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications and services
2. Implement and maintain authentication and identity integrations (Okta, LDAP)
3. Develop APIs and backend services supporting enterprise web applications
4. Work with event-driven and messaging architecture
5. Integrate with Azure cloud services
6. Maintain secure access to services using Key Vault / secrets management
7. Collaborate with frontend teams (JavaScript-based applications)
8. Support enhancements, bug fixes, and ongoing maintenance of existing systems
9. Ensure performance, scalability, and security of backend services

REQUIREMENTS:

Core Backend

1. Strong experience in Java backend development (Spring / Spring Boot preferred)
2. Experience building REST APIs and microservices

Identity & Security

1. Experience integrating Okta or other Identity Providers
2. Knowledge of LDAP / authentication mechanisms

Cloud & Infrastructure

1. Experience working with Microsoft Azure services
2. Knowledge of Azure Event Grid / messaging / queues
3. Experience using Azure Key Vault or similar secrets management tools

Programming & Scripting

1. Java (Primary)
2. Python (supporting scripts / automation)

Integration / Architecture

1. Messaging systems and event-driven architecture
2. API integrations with enterprise systems

Must Have Experience:

1. 10+ years overall experience
2. Strong enterprise Java backend development background
3. Ability to work in client-facing environments
4. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams
5. Experience supporting production enterprise systems

Nice to Have:

1. Basic exposure to JavaScript frontend environments
2. Limited familiarity with PHP systems (legacy integration)
3. Experience working in enterprise marketing/advertising technology platforms

1. A competitive pay range of $130,000 - 145,000 (depending on experience).
2. 15 days per year of Paid Time Off (PTO).
