The Systems/Cloud Engineer will support the deployment, configuration, automation, and reliability of the company's SaaS product platform within customer environments. This role combines cloud engineering, SaaS operations, infrastructure automation, and system security. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in cloud platforms, Linux systems, CI/CD, identity management, and containerized environments. This engineer will collaborate closely with DevOps, Engineering, InfoSec, and Customer Success teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable platform delivery.


Core Responsibilities

The Systems Engineer will deploy and configure the METIS platform across customer cloud environments, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, and support seamless rollouts of updates, patches, and new features. They will manage SSO, SAML, MFA, and role-based access control while applying security best practices aligned with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and internal InfoSec guidelines. This role will oversee system performance and reliability, manage containerized environments (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes), troubleshoot issues in production and staging, and coordinate maintenance cycles such as updates and infrastructure patches. The engineer will collaborate with DevOps, Engineering, and Customer Success during deployments and issue resolution, support customer onboarding and environment provisioning, and serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for authentication, infrastructure, or deployment challenges.


Qualifications

Required Technical Skills & Experience

  1. 6–10 years in Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or SaaS Operations
  2. Strong expertise in Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments
  3. Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  4. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
  5. Proficiency with automation/IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
  6. Experience with Python, Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
  7. Familiarity with identity providers such as Okta, Auth0, or Azure AD
  8. Understanding of SaaS security principles and compliance frameworks
  9. Comfortable engaging with enterprise customers and cross-functional teams
  10. Strong cloud-native engineering background
  11. Experience supporting mission-critical or regulated environments
  12. Proactive approach to automation, security, and reliability
  13. Comfortable owning deployments and providing Tier 3 escalation support


Preferred Certifications

  1. CompTIA Security+
  2. AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate
  3. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
  4. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
