You will work closely with teams in Product Development, Security, and Finance to keep systems reliable and ready for growth.

In this role, you will design and automate data systems on AWS to support an AI-first product strategy. You will also lead DataOps work such as CI/CD, monitoring, and data governance for important data pipelines used in Claims, Underwriting, and pricing solutions. This role is a great fit if you enjoy working with large data systems and want to help modernize the insurance industry.

What You’ll Do

Build and manage data infrastructure on AWS (S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, Redshift) using tools like Terraform or CDK.

Use AI tools like Claude Code to speed up development tasks such as setup, code updates, and documentation.

Create and improve CI/CD pipelines to test, deploy, and monitor dbt models and data jobs.

Set up smart systems that can detect issues in pipelines, find root causes, and suggest cost savings.

Build simple and scalable data pipelines using tools like Apache Iceberg, Airflow, and Redshift.

Apply strong security and compliance practices, including access control, encryption, and logging.

Work with product and data teams to support AI-based tools like Agentic AI Platform and Underwriting Assistant.

What You’ll Bring

Required

Experience using AI tools to improve work and productivity.

5+ years of experience in data engineering, data operations, or platform engineering.

Strong experience with AWS services like S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, and Redshift.

Experience with Terraform (preferred) or CDK.

Hands-on experience with dbt and modern data formats like Apache Iceberg.

Strong SQL skills and good knowledge of Python.

Experience with Apache Spark for handling large data workloads.

Experience building CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and deployment.

Good understanding of data modeling and working with databases.

Strong communication skills and ability to work with different teams.

Preferred

Experience using AI tools like Claude Code or similar.

Familiarity with MLOps tools such as SageMaker.

Experience in insurance or finance industries.

Knowledge of Redshift performance and cost optimization.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (or similar experience).

Your Impact

In your first six months, you will take ownership of key AWS data systems, improve existing pipelines, and introduce AI tools to make work faster and easier.
