Job Description:

NO RECRUITING/STAFFING AGENCIES

Pay: $45.68 - $62.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types: Bonus opportunities

Work Location: Remote


The Project Manager is responsible for successfully implementing software applications and accounting solutions for our real estate clients. The right person for this role will be able to implement, use and provide technical support and training for property management software such as Yardi Voyager, Yardi Elevate, Yardi Breeze, Appfolio, or others. This role requires the ability to handle a diverse array of residential and commercial real estate portfolios and have an advanced understanding of the accounting systems that are included in these platforms. The right candidate must be a self-starter who is able to work productively from a remote location and engage with team members effectively using online collaboration tools.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Project manage and take a hands-on approach to implementing property management and accounting software, perform system analyses, assess client needs and do best practices reviews, provide technical support and data fixes, build workflows and provide end-user training.

  1. Prepare project plans and budgets
  2. Project manage from handoff through completion
  3. Communicate with clients to provide progress and cost status
  4. Troubleshoot and problem solve technical and non-technical software application issues
  5. Assist clients with software issues
  6. Serve as a virtual help desk to our clients and internal staff
  7. Draft and maintain instructional documentation as needed
  8. Coordinate and complement consulting activities with the Programming and Accounting departments

  1. Perform the above duties excellently and maintain a high client satisfaction rate
  2. Establish and communicate service value across the organization and marketplace
  3. Identify key clients who will provide references and testimonials
  4. Demonstrate and communicate the company’s mission and values


QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting or similar
  2. Minimum 5 years experience in property management software implementation
  3. Successful track record in project management and implementing property management software systems
  4. Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or other software methodologies like Agile, Scrum preferred
  5. Knowledge of property management software systems such as the following: Prefer Yardi Voyager, Yardi Elevate, Yardi Breeze, and/or Appfolio
  6. Yardi legacy products such as Genesis, Enterprise, Classic, etc. a plus
  7. Other property management products such as Realpage, ResMan, MRI Software and/or Entrata will be considered as well
  8. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) a plus
  9. Business knowledge in property management services and market verticals such as: Residential, commercial, and related verticals, Maintenance/facility management, job cost, budgeting and forecasting, valuation procure to pay, investment management, fixed assets


Be familiar with a wide range of property management, accounting and database processes such as:

  1. Commercial lease administration
  2. Common Area Maintenance (CAM) recoveries
  3. Retail sales tracking and overage rent calculations
  4. Balance sheet reconciliations
  5. Cash versus accrual accounting
  6. Bank reconciliations
  7. Accounts receivable and security deposit tie out
  8. Residential workflows including Gross Potential Rent (GPR) reporting
  9. Financial analytics with basic customization
  10. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes and tools
  11. Yardi’s YSR reporting


Tools:

  1. Experience in Microsoft Excel for project management and organization
  2. Experience in other MS Office products
  3. Experience in using software for CRM, communication, project management and/or technical support management
