Visme is a leading visual communication platform used by millions of users worldwide. We are building a scalable, high-performance platform and are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help shape its technical direction and drive engineering excellence.

Role Overview

This is a senior technical leadership role for engineers who operate at a system level. You will design and evolve core architecture, lead complex technical initiatives, and help ensure the platform remains scalable, reliable, and maintainable as it grows.

We are especially interested in engineers who actively leverage modern AI tools to improve development velocity, code quality, and engineering efficiency, and who can help promote and guide their adoption across the team.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and design of scalable, maintainable systems

Own complex technical initiatives from design through production

Write high-quality, production-grade code

Identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks and technical risks

Mentor engineers and elevate overall technical standards

Drive engineering best practices, including effective use of AI-assisted development

tools

Promote thoughtful adoption of AI to improve productivity, quality, and developer

experience

Partner with Product and Design to deliver robust technical solutions

Contribute to long-term technical strategy and platform evolution

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience

Proven experience designing and scaling production systems

Strong expertise in backend and/or frontend architecture

Ability to operate independently and own large technical areas

Strong system design, debugging, and performance optimization skills

Experience leading complex technical projects

Experience effectively utilizing modern AI tools (such as code assistants, AI

debugging, or automation tools) in development workflows

Track record of improving system reliability, scalability, and maintainability

Strong Plus

Experience with high-scale SaaS systems

Experience with distributed systems or microservices

Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Experience mentoring senior engineers or leading technical direction

Experience integrating AI capabilities into products or engineering workflows
