LCG Freight Inc is a premier intermodal transportation company providing trucking/drayage services throughout the Southeast & Gulf Regions. LCG Freight is seeking a CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE COORDINATOR (CUSTOMER SERVICE) / DISPATCHER to help support intermodal operations in our Charleston, SC location.
Customer Service experience required. 2+ years in Intermodal Drayage or Freight Forwarding required.
This position requires a can-do approach and positive attitude towards everything. This role often requires you to take initiative on various tasks in both customer service duties and dispatcher duties. Must work well with team but also be able to complete tasks individually, as needed.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain email / phone correspondence with customers daily
- Schedule deliveries with warehouses
- Add loads to the dispatch load board once available for scheduling
- Email paperwork to drivers daily
- Keep running warehouse contact sheet updated with SOP for scheduling deliveries
- Update customers with scheduled delivery dates and times
- Work with Dispatch Team to replace loads when warehouse is unable to receive per requested dispatch schedule
- Update our online system with container movement details as they transpire
- Followup with customers regarding freight that is on hold at port with US Customs or the Steam Ship Lines
- Update LFDs for shipments
- Relay detention, per diem, and layover accessorial costs to customers timely per SOP
- Work with other members of Dispatch Team to promote daily operations
- Update larger VIP client online portals of container movement and delivery confirmations
- Answer phone calls and assist with directing customers to correct team member for answers
- Utilize Samsara to track drivers and equipment when needed
- Utilize Ocean Carrier websites to track containers and vessels accurately
- Demonstrate ability to understand and utilize street turns with equipment
- Maintain accuracty while following SOPs daily
- Other misc duties as assigned by Management
KEY SKILLS:
Ability to work efficiently on computers and with spreadsheets with good typing skills. Customer service and written communication skills must be exceptional. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment without issue is necessary. MUST be familiar with operating Outlook. Strong verbal and written organizational skills required. Strong attention to detail is paramount. 2+ years experience working as CS or Dispatcher in intermodal trucking company or 2+ years within a freight forwarder or NVOCC is REQUIRED.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
