Position Summary:

The Customer Acquisition Cost Analyst will become the subject matter expert for all costs, statistics, and KPIs that contribute to our acquisition of new customers. This includes reviewing, tracking, analyzing, summarizing, and reporting the costs associated with our marketing and call center activities across all our companies and brands. This role involves:

  • Reviewing marketing and call center expenses to make sure they are consistently and accurately recorded in our financial statements.
  • Developing systems and processes for tracking statistical measures related to these costs that inform good decision making.
  • Developing and delivering routine reporting related to our Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).
  • Contributing to routine departmental efforts such as month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, as well as providing insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Routinely review our general ledger to ensure that marketing and call center costs are recorded accurately and consistently.
  • Communicate with individuals involved in recording transactions to improve processes and workflows that lead to errors and inconsistency in how transactions are recorded.
  • Analyze and report on marketing and call center expenditures and their related statistical measures, including lead count, cost per lead, demo sets, net conversion rate, etc.
  • Prepare detailed analysis and variance reports to compare actual expenses against budgets, forecasts, and historical periods.
  • Identify trends and provide insights on cost drivers and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and external audits as required.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team, P&L owners, and company leaders to develop budgets and forecasts that are driven by the inputs that drive customer acquisition cost.
  • Monitor and update weekly/monthly/quarterly CAC reports to inform decision makers.
  • Provide financial support and guidance to the marketing team during the planning process.
  • Evaluate the financial performance of marketing initiatives, providing actionable insights to improve ROI.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to marketing costs and call centers.
  • Collaborate across our departments and businesses.
  • Work closely with the marketing department, the accounting department, company buyers, and brand leaders to understand their needs and provide reporting and financial insights and recommendations.
  • Create dashboards and work to automate routine reporting where possible.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exposure to marketing and/or call center analytics is a plus.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
