Job Purpose
Lead warehouse operations, including freight, storage, shipping and receiving, returns and transfers of
materials/products to deliver material/products to customers in an accurate and timely manner.
Core Responsibilities
Strategy design and execution
• Contribute to the design of the local Logistics strategy and oversee the execution of related ware-house
operations objectives.
Function management
• Lead receiving, warehousing and distribution operations in compliance with company policies and procedures
as well as legal requirements.
• Organize the warehouse layout to achieve efficient space utilization
• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system to enable accurate reporting and sta-tistics
(IN/OUT status report, obsolete materials report etc)
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies to monitor service quality and address any issue.
• Manage workforce planning and annual budget preparation.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
People management
• Conduct annual human resources processes for the local warehouse team(s) and validate results.
• Work with the local Operations management team and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a lo-cal talent pipeline in for the function.
• Drive the development and promotion of identified talents within and outside of local Operations.
Academic Background
• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
Professional experience
• + 4 years of experience in logistics in a manufacturing environment.
• 4 years of experience in people management.
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of transportation supplier landscape
- Good knowledge of material flow systems and technologies
- Proficiency in shipping and receiving regulations and protocol
- Good knowledge of local and international material/product safety/security norms and regulations
- Strong knowledge of supply chain function and processes
- Basic knowledge of production process
