Basis Technologies is headquartered in Chicago, and our employees have the flexibility to work in an office location, completely remote, or a hybrid of the two. Please note, we are hiring on a remote working basis only in the U.S. and Canada.

 

About The Team

 

Basis Technologies’ Social Team leverages Basis to help strategize, plan, execute, streamline, and analyze social media campaigns for agencies and brands across a variety of verticals. Always positive and eager to try new tools and tactics, their passion lies in finding unique and creative ways to meet clients’ business objectives via social media. Although many tasks are performed independently, internal collaboration and communication is critical, as they work closely with the Sales, Strategic Media Services, Investment and Operations teams. These Beeps are committed to thinking outside the box, serving as subject matter experts in the social space, supporting each other, and pushing themselves to be the best.

 

WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE

 

The VP, Social Media Solutions is responsible for providing subject matter expertise in social media as a client contact for key account relationships. They oversee a team of Social Media Solutions Directors and Social Media Planners, and are responsible for managing both client and team health while also contributing to the overall growth of their region and the broader business.

 

OTHER WAYS YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM ARE BY:

 

  • Achieving high levels of client satisfaction and retention through oversight of the Social team’s service level and strategic output quality
  • Driving business growth by guiding the team to align client objectives with both Basis and external social solutions and offerings
  • Leading the team’s growth through hands-on mentoring, training, and participation in regional calls/meetings
  • Fostering collaboration with Sales and other Media Services teams (Integrated Client Solutions, Strategy, Analytics, and Investment and Operations) to continually elevate client deliverables
  • Providing strategic direction and dissemination of work priorities to assigned team
  • Identifying opportunities to expand Basis Social services to meet incremental client needs
  • Actively participating in pre-sale support and new business pitches with Sales counterparts and other Media Services teams by bringing thought leadership around social media strategies and capabilities
  • Ensuring successful onboarding of new clients and team members by facilitating seamless transitions, implementing necessary processes, and upholding service level agreements during client business reviews
  • Facilitating and helping lead regular internal business reviews to ensure alignment around campaign performance and client experience, resulting in retention and growth
  • Partnering with paid social platform representatives to develop and implement best practices and training initiatives where needed
  • Owning personnel management for their direct reports, including people managers
  • Conducting 1:1s, performance reviews, and performance management for the team
  • Leading by example, supporting Basis’ values and positively contributing to the culture

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

 

  • 7+ years of experience in paid social advertising and planning across all platforms
  • 4+ years of management experience, overseeing other people managers and individual contributors
  • Track record for growing/retaining top talent
  • Ability to manage resources, ensuring operations are aligned with client needs
  • Expert-level ability to articulate Social strategy and recommendations in alignment with holistic media plans
  • Demonstrated experience selling in solutions to senior and complicated client organizations with proven negotiation skills
  • Keen ability to identify opportunities for other Basis solutions
  • Passionate about Customer Success from every perspective
  • Strong issue resolution and problem-solving abilities
  • Expert-level Excel and PPT skills
  • Adaptable/Flexible in the face of change

  • Experience working on cross-functional media planning teams
  • Agency experience, juggling multiple clients at once
  • Experience building and mentoring teams from the ground up

 

$105,000 - $180,000 a year

 

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual salary is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process. The total compensation package for this position may also include commission or bonus, company equity, and competitive benefits.
