2. About the Opportunity:

The Software Quality Analyst role is designed to protect the integrity of the organization''s education platforms by identifying and analyzing unauthorized access and misuse patterns. This position is crucial for detecting vulnerabilities and enhancing security measures to ensure the authenticity of educational content. The role involves collaborating across technical and non-technical teams to develop automated testing and improve detection strategies, directly contributing to the platform’s trustworthiness and reliability.

3. Responsibilities:

• Research trends and techniques related to unauthorized access and share findings with the team

• Aggregate and analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and vulnerabilities in unauthorized submissions

• Identify security improvement areas and develop automated test coverage to prevent regressions

• Serve as a communication link between technical and non-technical team members

• Create and update documentation covering methods, tools, test strategies, vulnerabilities, and impact assessments

• Continuously improve processes to adapt to evolving threats

• Provide guidance and occasional training on recognizing and responding to misuse techniques

• Develop basic automation scripts for regression testing

4. Requirements:

• Strong analytical skills to detect behavioral patterns, anomalies, and coordinated misuse in large datasets

• Experience reviewing structured data (SQL, dashboards, spreadsheets) to investigate incidents and draw evidence-based conclusions

• Ability to work with ambiguous and incomplete information, forming and validating hypotheses iteratively

• Clear written communication skills to summarize findings and recommend detection strategies

• Skill in documenting investigation methodologies and emerging misuse patterns in a structured format

• Strong attention to detail in reviewing logs, submission metadata, account behavior, and other platform signals

• Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and support teams to translate findings into detection rules or controls

Nice to Have:

• 2-3 years in Education Technology or SaaS industries within trust & safety, red teaming, fraud detection, platform abuse investigation, or content integrity

• Exposure to behavioral analytics or anomaly detection methods

• Experience supporting high-volume enforcement with customer support teams

• Understanding of evasion techniques such as account farming, IP rotation, automation, and coordinated misuse

• Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python) for data exploration and pattern validation

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The expected annual base salary range for this position is $75,375 to $125,625

• This position is bonus eligible or commission-based

• Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer and considers work location, experience, skills, and other relevant factors
