Job Description:

North 4th Corridor is a collection of three distinct event venues located in the historic Smith Bros. Building in Columbus, OH. The venues, including Brick & Mortar, Post 4, and Revery, offer unique design elements and amenities to cater to a wide variety of tastes and budgets. North 4th Corridor is exclusively operated by Milo's Catering.

 

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Venue Operations Manager at North 4th Corridor in Columbus, OH. The Venue Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the three event venues ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining venue cleanliness and functionality.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting manager with client inquiries, tours and open houses
  • Assisting with rehearsals and receiving decor and other items from clients for upcoming events
  • Working with vendors prior to events to ensure their understanding of venue policies and signing off on vendor check list. Coordinating load in and load out times and building policies
  • Organization of linens and warehouse equipment
  • Maintaining proper inventory levels and organization of event essentials: linens, cleaning supplies etc
  • Working with event manager to help coordinate support vendors - rentals, window cleaners, chemical company, pest control, hood cleaners, fire inspectors, elevator inspectors etc
  • On event days assisting with setting up directional and event signage
  • Assisting with ceremony setup, tear down and room flips
  • Meeting with bridal parties and navigating them through the building
  • Directing guests to appropriate spaces and designated parking areas

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in event management, hospitality, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of event planning and coordination
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Experience in venue operations or a similar role is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
