We’re interested in hearing from people who

1. Have solid hands-on experience of data engineering/ETL principles and practices with Unix/Linux, Ab Initio and other data integration tools and frameworks.
2. Are confident demonstrating coding, design, debugging and problem-solving skills
3. Have ability to mentor and provide technical assistance to team members.
4. Mindset to apply and promote industry best patterns and practices.
5. Experience in developing and deploying high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision.
6. Experience with estimating development effort for new features
7. Ability to lead Level 3 or above support and technical troubleshooting activity.

Tech Skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team.

1. Absolutely hands-on programming experience of 8-12 years in Ab Initio related products and shell scripting. Background with both Batch and continuous flows is highly regarded.
2. Experience with RDBMS (Oracle) and using SQL or other data integration/ETL tools.
3. AWS Cloud
4. Integration knowledge of MQs, REST APIs and Kafka
5. CI/CD concepts and ability to create pipelines in Jenkins, Teamcity, Ab Initio EME
6. Coding - Python, Java
7. DevOps and production support.
