The Role

As a result of continued growth and modernisation efforts, they now have an exciting opportunity for a Payments Specialist (Software Engineer) to design and develop payment systems, integrate with financial partners, and optimise transaction processing platforms. This role plays a key part in driving digital transformation and ensuring compliance with global payments standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Design, build, and maintain payment systems (processing, authorisation, settlement, reconciliation)
  2. Integrate with banks, gateways, and fintech partners
  3. Deliver features in collaboration with product managers and architects
  4. Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, PSD2, ISO 20022
  5. Troubleshoot and optimise performance for high-volume transaction flows
  6. Contribute to modernisation, moving legacy systems to cloud-native microservices
