Full-time Sr. UX Designer/Consultant
Riley Consulting is looking for a Sr. UX Designer. This role will be part of a consulting team working at a large state of CA project.
Job responsibilities include designing all user-facing components of the new system being developed and collaborating with the Dev Team in improving usability, user experience, and user adoption and engagement. Responsibilities also include conducting interaction design meetings, design prototypes and communicating designs to end users and project staff.
Additionally, this person will monitor design performance and ensure compliance with guidelines and requirements, identify and raise technical and design issues, and (more generally) act as the technical guide and consultant on user experience and interface design.
This is a remote position, though occasional travel to the client site in Sacramento will be required. Must be a resident of Northern California and able to travel to Sacramento.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years planning and developing universal designs.
- Minimum of three years of experience in doing digital design, user research, qualitative analysis & synthesis, interaction design.
- Minimum of two years’ experience developing web application UX/UI to meet compliance to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at a minimum.
- Minimum of two years using Figma for UX development.
- Minimum of five years working as a programmer or analyst in a .NET environment.
Desirable
- State of CA IT project experience.
