Job Description:

This individual will join a team responsible for the development of the next generation of the client System. You will contribute by:

  1. Providing technical and programming skills that will include new functionality and enhancements of existing and new applications.
  2. Performing reviews, analysis, and modifications of programming systems including designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs.
  3. Joining a senior programming team developing and maintaining applications in all facets of Warehouse Distribution Management, E-Commerce, Vehicle Service.

Thorough understanding, proficiency and work experience with the following are required:

  1. Experience in Universe, Pick Basic and/or Unidata Multivalue database systems is required. Experience in Accuterm GUI is a bonus.

Desired but not required programming knowledge:

  1. Java or C#
  2. HTML & CSS

Understanding of javascript coding methods and best practices

Framework experience in one or more frameworks: Angular, React, Knock Out, etc.

Experience with JQuery

  1. XML
  2. Experience using JSON, REST APIs, and Asynchronous calls

Experience with the following is desired:

  1. Object Oriented Design
  2. Windows OS Environment
  3. Troubleshooting & debugging methodologies
  4. Quality assurance testing methodologies
  5. Technical writing & documentation
  6. Cross platform desktop applications

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Designing product systems including user experience and system architecture
  2. Writing detailed functional specifications
  3. Writing, analyzing, reviewing and rewriting programs, using workflow charts and diagrams.
  4. Applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and user interface logic to application development
  5. Drive the documentation of system business requirements, technical requirements, specifications and test cases on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal support staff and external users.
  6. Collaborate with 3rd party partners and users to develop new programming interfaces.
  7. Confirm project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements
  8. Confirm program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes
  9. Prepare reference material for user tasks analysis to aid in the development of online users help guides.
  10. Maintain historical records by documenting program development and revisions
  11. Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to accurately produce the desired information confirming instructions are correct.
  12. Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs or projects
  13. Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements

Programs / Technologies Client Uses:

  1. Database Technologies: Universe, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL
  2. Development Environment: AccuTerm WED/GED,Visual Studio, Android Studio, Eclipse, CVS, TortoiseCVS, git
  3. Web Technologies: IIS, ColdFusion, PHP, HTML, CSS, Asp.Net (VB), JavaScript (Including DHTML & AJAX), XML, JSON
  4. Document and Online Help Production: Adobe Creative Suite,
  5. Microsoft Office Suite

Experience and Skills of Programmer Analyst:

  1. Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Applied Math, Web Development is desired but work experience will be the prime focus for hiring
  2. 8+ years programming experience
  3. Development experience in Accuterm GUI is required
  4. Development experience with Microsoft Windows or client/server systems in a high-volume environment is preferred.
  5. Previous work experience with Inventory and Warehouse management or related software is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 per year
