Position Description:
Modine is a dynamic and innovative company specializing in the HVAC industry. We are dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions for enhanced comfort and energy efficiency. We are currently seeking a results-driven and strategic-minded professional to join our team as a Strategic Marketing Manager for the School market focused team within the Indoor Air Quality Vertical. This role is crucial for driving our marketing efforts, optimizing resources through the 80/20 principles, and fostering collaboration internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning with 80/20 Focus:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with the company's vision, utilizing the 80/20 principle to identify and prioritize high-impact activities.
  • Gather and analyze education market data to focus resources on key products and channels for maximum profitability.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies in alignment with the company's overall objectives in the education market
  • Analyze data and derive insights to make informed decisions in the development of marketing strategies.
  • Define and measure KPI’s to ensure marketing efforts are meeting the business goals and objectives.


Collaboration with Sales and Rep Teams:

  • Collaborate closely with the sales team and manufacturers' representatives to deliver qualified leads to the sales team.
  • Act as a liaison between A customers and the company, collecting feedback on their specific marketing needs, concerns, and suggestions.
  • Leverage the 80/20 principle to distill feedback from A customers into actionable insights for continuous improvement, recognizing and prioritizing their specific needs.
  • Provide sales enablement tools and materials to support the sales process and achieve revenue targets.


Leadership:

  • Influence and energize cross-functional to help reach business goals and objectives.
  • Be a thought leader and an expert in translating market, consumer, and customer insights into actionable strategies and tactics for the business unit that ultimately drive revenue growth and profit.
  • Lead ‘voice of the customer’ market research initiatives that help the business understand what attributes are most valued to the customer.
  • Craft and articulate the vision for the marketing team, outlining key performance indicators that reflect an continued commitment to achieving and sustaining impactful results over time.

Channel Management:

  • Work closely with manufacturers' representatives to align marketing efforts with channel strategies, focusing majority of efforts on a designated few channel partners.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration, including regular discussions and visits with reps and their customers.
  • Bring prior experience working closely with manufacturers' representatives and sales teams.
  • Ability to align marketing strategies with channel-specific goals and objectives.


Digital Marketing and Online Presence:

  • Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, and targeted online campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Optimize the company's online presence to attract and engage the target audiences.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in strategic marketing roles within HVAC or manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrated experience applying the 80/20 principle in marketing strategy development and resource allocation
  • Proven ability to drive significant results through focused and efficient marketing efforts
  • Strong understanding of the HVAC industry, including market trends, customer behaviors, and competitor landscapes
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, manufacturers' reps, and external stakeholders
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and trust with channel partners


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field


Travel:

  • Up to 25% travel in North America

Estimated Base Salary Range - $83,000 – 120,000
The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, and location. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
