Position Summary
The Finance Office within Student Life seeks a staff accountant. As Staff Accountant you will:
Responsible for the day-to-day administration of Student Life operational expenditures totaling $100m.
Possess the ability to manage competing priorities, communicate professionally, articulately and effectively, orally and in writing,
Be organized at all times and must be able to work effectively within university and SUNY financial systems as well as MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
You will advise staff on a daily basis and will offer guidance that promotes efficiency and compliance with NYS , SUNY and university guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of an Associate degree and 2 years of experience in business office setting working with budgets and analyze, a higher degree will be considered in lieu of the experience requirement
Demonstrated communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to competently multi-task and work independently.
The incumbent must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of supporting a complex organization with many different stakeholders
Computer skills/experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in management with a concentration in accounting, finance or related field.
