Job Description

This is a unique opportunity that calls for a motivated, hard-working, and highly analytical Finance professional to support the Corporate IT (CIT) team within the Technology organization. The CIT team collaborates with internal clients to design, develop and support Corporate Systems and enables Visa employees to do their work through various tools. The role supports in-depth business planning, reporting, business-case development/modeling, and expense management while partnering with cross-functional teams.

This position has direct access and exposure to Finance and Technology leadership and participates in the analysis, preparation, and presentation of key business drivers and financial results used by leadership teams. While financial analysis is an important component of the job, the emphasis is on applying overall analytical skills and experience to become a highly valued business partner.

Essential Functions:
 

  • Lead the coordination, organization and execution of financial planning and analysis activities for Corporate IT, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, financial reporting, and business case development.
  • Manage, own, and drive financial and related accountability and transparency for key leaders within the CIT team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (i.e. management and staff) and serve as a key point of contact for finance guidance and related discussions.
  • Drive and perform headcount analysis, maintain alignment with Workforce Plan and conduct monthly reporting.
  • Communicate business implications observed from analysis and contribute ideas and solutions to business challenges / problems.
  • Collaborate with all levels of management in a matrix organization structure, drive customer service-orientation.
  • Proactively identify and drive continuous process improvements with the Technology/Technology Finance teams.
  • Partner with other Finance teams, share Best Practices and drive culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
     

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • At least 4 years of business experience with a financial / analytical / consultative focus and progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, month-end close and process improvement.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling and comfort managing large data sets.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, accounting, economics, or related quantitative field. MBA or equivalent credentials preferred but not required.
  • Ability to cultivate effective relationships and communicate effectively with management to influence outcomes.
  • Experience working with large, diverse, global Technology teams and knowledge of hardware and software purchases and the related accounting.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams and managing and measuring processes.
  • Proactive, detailed oriented, and creative in fully leveraging available resources and data to achieve excellent analysis, fast-learner with excellent business acumen with strong bias for action.
  • Operates with minimal supervision and able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently.
  • Thrive in an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented.
  • Must demonstrate well-developed strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong bias for action and ability to proactively recognize and resolve issues.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Hyperion (or equivalent), databases and enterprise financial systems (e.g. Oracle Financials).
     

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 118,500.00 to 154,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
