Job Description:

The Social Media Manager is a key player on Blade HQ's marketing team. This person is responsible for implementing content strategy across all social media channels including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Reddit, and other relevant social media platforms. They oversee the creation of engaging videos and posts that forge a connection with our community and increase our following. They supervise and ensure the creation of eye-catching photography, engaging captions, and videos with viral potential. This socially minded enthusiast is immersed in meme and pop culture, has a finger on the pulse of current trends both in and out of the knife industry, and is ultimately responsible for generating inbound leads to Blade HQ through our social channels.


Tasks

  • Create and publish relevant content to reach the knife community across all social media channels.
  • Ensure we are publishing high quality, branded photos and videos that fit established guidelines for social media, email, and website publications.
  • Monitor comments and engage with followers in a way that is knowledgeable, personable, professional, and in line with Blade HQ's branding and
  • Become a brand advocate and proactively manage Blade HQ's online reputation in social media spaces by engaging in dialogues, answering questions, and reaching out organically.
  • Assist in creating social media marketing strategies, supported by testing and metrics.
  • Monitor best practices for measuring the impact of social media campaigns and translate success into qualitative data.
  • Assist in managing affiliate/influencer relationships and create partnerships within the knife and adjacent communities.
  • Coordinate with creative team to execute multi-platform digital marketing campaigns.


Skills

  • Expert knowledge and experience in social media marketing.
  • Have in-depth understanding of YouTube, Facebook, lnstagram, Tik-Tok, Twitter, Reddit, etc.
  • Experience with Sprout, Hootsuite, lconosquare, or similar software.
  • Solid spelling and No typos.
  • Microsoft Office: Word and Excel required.
  • Experience using Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of knives, or ability to acquire it quickly.


Physical Demands

  • Safe handling of knives and other edged cutting tools.
  • Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Sitting for long periods. Standing for long periods.
  • Typing, clicking, and looking at computer screens for long


Work Environment

  • Standard office
  • This is an on-site No freelance or remote.
  • Occasional travel for outdoor photoshoots and filming.


Education and Experience

  • 18 years of age or
  • 4+ years of experience managing commercial social media accounts required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with emphasis in journalism, public relations, communication, or marketing


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • Full-time position (40 hrs/week). Must be willing to arrive at work by 9 a.m.
