As part of the Global Communications organization, our Social Media & Digital team is seeking a creative, collaborative and detail-oriented Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist to support the company’s day-to-day social media activities, evolving digital programs and expansion.

This role is one part content development, one part social strategy. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating dynamic content across a variety of mediums and thinks through a social-first lens. This is a great opportunity to flex creative storytelling muscles (written, visual, graphic design) while influencing and optimizing for engagement and performance across Juniper’s social channels.

Additionally, the Social Media & Digital Marketing Specialist will partner with one of Juniper’s product marketing teams to drive activities in support of key announcements, product innovation and events. 

Reporting into the Manager of Global Social Media and Digital Content, this position works closely with the Product Marketing and Global Corporate Communications teams, as well as the broader marketing organization. Other responsibilities include: staying abreast of industry best practices and trends, influencing content and social strategy across the business, developing training resources and guides, monitoring customer, influencer and competitor activity, working with agency teams, supporting digital content initiatives and writing, editing, creating and managing content.

Responsibilities :

  • Serve as a strategic partner to product teams, create and own social media and digital content plans to support key objectives, industry announcements, and events.
  • Support and manage the company’s blog program – review and edit content, ensuring brand guidelines, calendars and the platform are maintained.
  • Maintain Juniper’s presence on external channels (owned, earned, third-party).
  • Help maintain brand voice, tone and style in accordance w/ company guidelines across external assets, including organic and paid social.
  • Support/create compelling thought leadership and marketing materials with a social-first lens, provide constructive feedback to improve content across teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Collaborate with global counterparts to ensure alignment on social calendar, content and events as necessary.
  • Work with the broader digital content team to identify and execute new content opportunities and platforms that support the company’s strategies and goals.
  • Serve as an internal social champion and support the company’s employee advocacy social program, sourcing content, writing copy and empowering employees to share.
  • Coordinate with the broader marketing organization, as well as with leaders and peers globally, to execute, monitor and measure digital campaigns.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities with current and emerging platforms to further Juniper’s awareness and support its customers.
  • Advise and educate internal teams on Juniper’s social media strategy and industry best practices.
  • Help source content and craft social media copy for the company’s corporate accounts weekly, ensuring a balance across segments, announcements, content type, owned/earned media, trending topics and key focus areas
  • Review and manage amplification requests in accordance with social media and digital content best practices, weekly priorities and team goals/objectives

Who We’re Looking For – Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a marketing, business or communications-related discipline
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in marketing or communications delivering smart and effective content-led campaigns, preferably in a global organization; agency or consulting background a plus.
  • B2B experience a plus.
  • Paid social media experience preferred.
  • Dynamic content creation and social-first content marketing experience preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in development and execution of social media programs (organic and paid).
  • Strong grammar and writing skills (short and long-form content). Passion and proven history of creative, persuasive writing and copywriting.
  • Must have superior attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
  • Experience with social publishing platforms (Khoros, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, etc) and digital publishing platforms (Wordpress, YouTube).
  • Experience with video and audio live streaming platforms (LinkedIn Live, Twitter Spaces) a plus.
  • Thinks quickly on one’s feet and remains calm/works well under pressure. Acts with urgency and thinks proactively.
  • Able to translate social media metrics and data into meaningful, actionable insights for a variety of audiences up/down/across the business.
  • Demonstrated record of success in collaborating with a global, distributed team. Proven experience building and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Superior project management, time management and organizational skills with proven ability to manage a diverse workload and own their work. Self-motivated team player that delivers results.
