Role Summary:
We are seeking a Content Strategist who will work closely with the founder to refine our content systems, scale our delivery of impactful campaigns, and drive measurable growth for our clients. You will begin as a part-time contractor learning how to manage SEO and content initiatives end-to-end—from conducting keyword research to ideating topics for new website content, and coordinating content production with a team of content writers, graphic designers, and web developers. As we onboard more clients and reach new revenue milestones, you will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time, leadership-level role where you will guide internal and external teams and help shape our approach to brand storytelling, SEO, and content-driven lead generation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and refine content marketing strategies that support client goals. Leverage customer personas, brand positioning, and unique value propositions to create cohesive, outcome-focused content roadmaps.
- Competitor & Keyword Research: Identify content gaps and new opportunities by analyzing competitors, unearthing relevant keywords, and pinpointing themes that resonate with the target audience.
- Content Development: Craft compelling website copy, landing pages, blog posts, social posts, email campaigns, and more. Prepare detailed content briefs for a network of writers and designers.
- Technical Audits & Optimization: Conduct website quality audits, recommend technical and content improvements for SEO, and build new site pages in WordPress and Webflow.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with contractors and freelancers on copywriting, design, and development tasks. Ensure timely, consistent delivery that meets brand standards and KPIs.
- Analytics & Reporting: Configure and utilize Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and other analytics platforms to monitor campaign performance. Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Client Onboarding & Communication: Support client onboarding processes and maintain open, proactive communication to align content initiatives with evolving business goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in developing and executing multi-channel content strategies, preferably for service-oriented businesses.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an emphasis on clarity, structure, and driving conversions.
- Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz), CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow), and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console).
- Ability to transform data insights into actionable recommendations and present findings to stakeholders.
- Adaptability, organizational excellence, and a willingness to collaborate in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
- Comfortable managing a network of freelancers, delegating tasks, and ensuring consistent quality control.
Compensation & Future Outlook:
- Begin part-time, with pay adjusted based on hours worked. Once you transition to full-time, the salary range is $50,000–$60,000.
- As the agency’s client base grows, expect opportunities for pay raises, expanded responsibilities, team leadership roles, and profit sharing.
