In this role, you’ll be the technical powerhouse behind our clients’ analytics and tag management implementations. If you’re passionate about writing JavaScript applications, architecting data solutions, and solving complex tracking challenges — and you see GTM as a development platform rather than just a tag manager — this is the opportunity for you. Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced Google Tag Manager setups (including server-side GTM), GA4 configurations, and custom tracking solutions for enterprise clients
- Build sophisticated data layer architectures and write production-quality JavaScript for complex tracking requirements
- Create BigQuery reporting pipelines, automated QA processes, and data analysis tools using Python and SQL
- Implement solutions that balance robust tracking capabilities with site performance, ensuring fast load times and scalable implementations
- Work with project managers, strategists, and client development teams to deliver exceptional analytics solutions
Skills & Requirements:
- Have extensive experience writing complex JavaScript applications, with deep understanding of modern JS patterns and best practices
- Expert-level proficiency with Google Tag Manager, including custom templates, server-side implementations, and Measurement Protocol
- Deep experience with GA4 implementations, including enhanced eCommerce, custom dimensions, and complex event tracking
- Strong working knowledge of WordPress and Magento platforms, including how to implement tracking solutions within both environments
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, with hands-on BigQuery experience
- Understanding of web performance optimization and the impact of third-party scripts on site speed
- A team player who can explain complex technical concepts to both developers and marketers
- Willingness to work hard, ask questions, and stay current with the rapidly evolving martech landscape
Bonus Points, But Not Required:
- Experience with other eCommerce platforms
- Experience with additional tag management platforms
- Knowledge of other analytics platforms
- Cloud platform experience
- Experience building custom APIs or microservices
- Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs
