Job Title: Search Consultant – Permanent Placement
Location: Remote (Southern California)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Search Consultant to manage the full life cycle of direct-hire recruiting for mid- to senior-level professional roles. This role partners closely with clients to understand strategic hiring objectives, design tailored recruiting strategies, and deliver high-quality talent solutions.
You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, build strong candidate pipelines, and contribute to business development through client and candidate leads, referrals, and targeted marketing efforts. This is a remote role supporting clients primarily in Southern California.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle direct hire recruiting for mid- to senior-level professional roles
- Develop and grow client accounts, generating new business through leads, referrals, and marketing initiatives
- Partner with clients to analyze hiring needs and design role-specific recruiting strategies
- Build and maintain subject matter expertise in target industries, clients, and roles
- Stay current on recruiting trends, market insights, and best practices
- Manage job postings across multiple systems and platforms
- Screen resumes and conduct behavioral and competency-based interviews
- Negotiate fee agreements and manage placement-related documentation
- Maintain and nurture long-term client relationships to support repeat business
- Build and manage strong pipelines of active and passive candidates
- Track assignments and candidate activity in ATS and CRM systems
- Support onboarding and hiring processes in line with client and organizational requirements
- Coach, train, and mentor team members as needed
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, safety standards, and internal policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience recruiting mid- to senior-level professionals or relevant industry experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience (7 years) may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Client-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and service excellence
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to implement creative solutions
- Demonstrated business acumen and market insight
- Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and CRM tools
- Familiarity with current sourcing methods, recruiting technologies, and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Compensation
- Anticipated annual base salary: $70,304
- Eligible for incentive compensation based on performance and achievement of defined goals
- Total compensation may vary based on experience, skills, education, and geographic location
