Performs the functions of a receptionist in a medical office setting. Receives callers and patients at the clinic,
responsible for obtaining patient demographics and obtaining insurance cards and other relevant documentation.
Responsible for multi-line phone and scheduling patient's appointments. Position is full-time.
- Operate telephone to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
- Responsible for collecting patient co-payments and all other payments made on accounts.
- Ensures proper posting of payments made on accounts and delivers receipts to patients for all monies received.
- Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
- Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.
- Hear and resolve complaints from customers or the public.
- Perform administrative support tasks, such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, or operating calculators or computers to work with pay records, invoices, balance sheets, or other documents.
- Scan records into the EHR.
- Provide information about establishment, such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided.
- Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries.
- Process and prepare memos, correspondence, travel vouchers, or other documents.
Must be able to pass a background check and complete a pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
