Job Description:

THIS POSTION IS 100% REMOTE AND THIRD SHIFT (12:00 AM - 9:00 AM MONDAY-FRIDAY WITH ON CALL ROTATION AFTER TRAINING)

This position is responsible for all day-to-day processes that ensure smooth and timely inter- and intra-national movement of inventory. This position also assumes responsibility for proper trade documentation retention and development/maintenance of positive working relationships with designated customer contacts and warehouse locations as well as the internal Trade Compliance Department.

Position Summary:

1. Execute procedures related to issuance of Purchase Orders and RMA’s. Populate information on Commercial Invoices, Bills of Lading, and any other documentation to ensure inventory moves between/within countries on time. Track orders from point of initiation through to final destination. Research and resolve discrepancies, escalating when appropriate. Participate in customer/internal conference calls as needed to resolve escalated issues or provide updates.

2. Review and reconcile freight invoices against recorded shipments and receipts. Escalate and resolve issues or discrepancies, as needed. Document and follow up on outstanding credits or adjustments to freight invoices.

3. Oversee and administer trade operations documentation. Maintain updated data in designated recordkeeping systems and file documents in an organized and timely manner. Work with Fortress Trade Compliance Department to resolve discrepancies and answer internal and external requests for information and clarification as needed.

4. Develop and maintain relationships with shipping and freight-forwarding provider contacts, as well as contracted international warehouse location personnel, in order to expedite international movement of inventory. Develop and maintain expertise, tools and resources on customs and trade compliance in assigned geographic region(s).

5. Manage special projects and perform other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree a plus, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience performing work activities in an Inventory Control, Logistics, and/or Warehouse environment, with international/global experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Purchase Order, RMA, Logistics, and Shipping/Receiving administrative processes required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and/or other database; Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook; Inventory Control/Management database experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proper and professional grammar, vocabulary and demeanor
  • Multi-lingual and/or multi-cultural work experience strongly preferred


Third Shift - 12:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Monday - Friday
