Easton Consulting Technologies, LLC is a global Proprietary Consulting Firm helping to launch various successful Prop Firms servicing retail traders worldwide. We are seeking to immediately bring on an Analyst that is eager to leverage and refine their intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills on a global scale. In this role, a successful individual will execute sound risk management processes, monitor various risks to clients, execute on risk and compliance processes and assist in implementing the Firm’s risk management strategy. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about applying their skills to a FinTech-based business model that helps to create income opportunities for traders around the world.

  • You must have Investment/Finance and/or Compliance Risk experience on your resume to be considered. We are NOT considering candidates who solely have IT or mortgage Risk experience.

Responsibilities

Summary

The Risk Analyst is responsible for ensuring the Firm’s clients are adequately mitigating risk and ensuring the appropriate risk mitigants and controls are designed and operating effectively. The Risk Analyst will perform periodic design and operational effectiveness assessments of client processes, ensure each client's Terms of Services are adhered to by retail traders, define and assess client risk and compliance frameworks, actively support business development initiatives by providing risk insights, and monitor the client’s risk environment.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor retail traders violating client terms/rules, initiate and execute investigations, documentation of investigations, and undertake appropriate action, including but not limited to:
  • Investigate User Logs and IP reports
  • Investigate Grid/Reverse Trading strategies or other nefarious trading activities
  • Investigate Copy Trading activities
  • Assess, monitor and implement controls and processes related to the following risks, among other emerging and dynamic risks
  • Operational risk
  • Trader risk
  • Market risk
  • Financial risk
  • Execute the Firm’s risk management strategies and processes using risk management technologies
  • Perform periodic assessments of client processes and risk environment, including but not limited to
  • Sample-based assessments
  • Design effectiveness assessments
  • Operational effectiveness assessments
  • Implement and monitor controls, processes and procedures intended to mitigate client risk
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly risk management reporting
  • Assist in ad-hoc Senior Management analyses
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of key risk indicators
  • Assist in scaling risk management operations, technologies and processes
  • Keeping up to date with the latest risk management practices, developments and news
  • Partnering with internal and external partners to assist with strategic projects and priorities

Qualifications & Skills

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Business Management, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • 0 - 1+ years of risk management, investment management, asset management, banking, prop firm, public accounting and/or consulting experience, or equivalent experience a plus
  • CRM, ARM, CISA, CRISC, FRM, CIA, CRMA certifications a plus
  • Experience working in FinTech, financial services, retail trading, and/or prop firms is a plus

Desired Skills

  • Experience in documenting various operating procedures (e.g., investigations, assessment sheets, risk assessments etc.)
  • Functional knowledge in one or more of the following: internal auditing, compliance, risk management
  • Functional knowledge in one or more of the following: risk assessments, operational effectiveness testing, design effectiveness testing, sample-based testing, process risk control self-assessments, or any other techniques intended to identify, assess and monitor risk
  • Functional knowledge of capital markets, including the stock market, bond market, currency and foreign exchange markets
  • Functional knowledge of financial instruments
  • Experience in using trading platforms and other prop trading technologies (e.g., MT4/MT5, TradingView, DXTrades)
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or other similar applications
  • Strong communication skills and a keen eye for details
  • Proficient in project and time management
  • Critical thinking
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • An analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude

Role Requirements

Location: Remote - US-Based

Start Date: Immediately

Schedule: Our core salaried team is online 8 am - 5 pm EST with a 1-hour lunch break.
