We are hiring a Remote Regulatory Liaison.
The Regulatory Liaison will represent Intoxalock to state program key personnel, managers and directors, and provide guidance to improve company reputation and positioning. This role will combine the activity as an individual contributor with the ability to work across the organization to recognize areas of improvement for higher level communication across all states. The Regulatory Liaison will be assigned a portion of states to develop specific relationships at a specific level to guide and influence program structure and rules. The objective is to find favorable positions to improve the opportunity for Intoxalock to gain share of state programs, and minimize potential risks to company reputation or standing in the state.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Develop personal relationships with key figures for each state and/or county as assigned with the objective of gaining regular communication and improved brand value. Seek to identify monitor reporting structure and understand all key stakeholders & influencers within each state and/or county.
2. Based on Mindr and Intoxalock business decisions and best practices, comment on new or proposed changes to regulations or specifications working with regulatory agencies or other key stakeholder, to drive alignment and adoption for our products and offerings.
3. Act as the subject matter expert. Be able to raise awareness of shortcomings for programs and opportunities to standardize and improve each state program.
4. Responsible for handling of escalated compliance related questions through written and/or verbal communications through email/phone communication with State Regulators, Monitors, and customer as necessary.
5. Travel will be required for some meetings, conferences, or court appearances as needed.
6. Lead cross-functional efforts in support of changes to rules, reporting, forms, inspection protocols, etc.
7. Monitor and influence program and regulatory changes, coordinating changes where necessary with the internal cross functional team to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
8. Document and track meetings, escalations and outcomes in appropriate leadership facing tools.
9. Work closely with Compliance Leadership and State Liaison personnel to ensure consistency of communication and expectations, and to communicate improvements and observations from state stakeholders.
10. All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
2. At least 5 years of Account Management experience. State IID or BAID program experience a plus.
3. Excellent organizational & time management skills, with the ability to prioritize numerous time bound tasks provide prompt resolution to escalated issues.
4. Ability to travel as needed, up to 30% of the business year.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present and influence target audience.
6. Superior judgment and critical thinking skills to make a well evaluated decision regarding state regulations and company operating procedures.
7. Positive, resilient, consistent, customer-centric attitude. Patient, team-oriented demeanor with a strong sense of accountability and independent work ethic.
8. Strong and refined presentation skills.
9. Good computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft office, Outlook, CRM, etc.
