Job Description:

We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating people, schedules, and moving parts. In this role, you’ll help coordinate sign language interpreters, VRI, CART, and related services for a wide range of clients.

You’ll act as the central point of contact between clients and service providers, balancing multiple requests, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring each assignment runs smoothly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate multiple interpreter and CART requests in a high-volume environment.

Manage incoming service requests and send timely confirmations and updates.

Prepare and share assignment materials between clients and providers.

Ensure providers receive complete prep materials, instructions, and job details.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date scheduling databases, including special requests and client preferences.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, interpreters, vendors, and Deaf/hard of hearing consumers.

Uphold confidentiality and follow relevant industry standards and guidelines (RID, CPC).

Support special projects that strengthen communication access and service quality.

Attend staff meetings, trainings, and conferences as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma plus 3–4 years of experience scheduling ASL and/or CART services.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort using databases/scheduling systems.

Experience scheduling large volumes of people across multiple locations.

Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal).

Excellent organization, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Proven reliability, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Conversational fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with Deaf culture strongly preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role is primarily remote, with the primary work location defined in a telework agreement. Some assignments may involve coordination for in-person services at customer locations, with occasional virtual support depending on client needs.

Ability to perform repetitive hand/arm motions for extended periods.

Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.

Regular use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier).

Flexibility with work hours; evenings/weekends may be required.

Up to 25% travel may be required (air, car, or rail).

Why This Role

This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting communication access and inclusion. You’ll collaborate with a mission-driven team focused on delivering high-quality interpreting and CART services in a professional, respectful, and service-oriented environment.
