The Role:
The People Operations Coordinator is an integral part of the People team at Landline. We’re looking for someone who has an unbreakable attention to detail, the curiosity to learn and become an expert in new tasks, and a sense of urgency to see projects to completion. Our new team member should have the ability to quickly adapt to dynamic priorities and analyze a situation strategically with a focus on execution. Strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to manage projects with different deadlines, and a commitment to risk management and compliance will enable a candidate to be successful in this role.
Landline’s frontline employees are distributed across our operating regions with our leadership and business support group of 30 team members based at our headquarters location in Fort Collins, CO. Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Specialist: Engage with managers and own biweekly payroll for four Landline markets and our aviation subsidiary.
2. Recruitment, Interviews, and Selection: Coordinate and participate in the recruiting process through job posting, resume screening, interviews, and extending job offers.
3. Employee Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires by conducting orientation sessions, completing necessary paperwork, and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
4. Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employees by addressing queries/concerns and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures within 1 business day from contact. Facilitate team member conflict resolution in partnership with managers and the Director of People. Order business cards, send birthday cards, anniversary notes, and employee recognition awards for outstanding work.
5. People Analytics & Reporting: Identify trends and needs among internal teams. This includes collaborating with the operations and commercial teams on future growth. Generate HR reports to provide insights on key indicators such as employee turnover, recruitment metrics, cost to hire, callouts and absences, training effectiveness, and other relevant data to support strategic decision-making. Keep up to date on market trends to ensure competitive employee compensation and benefits packages. Update monthly reporting of HR metrics with historical data.
6. HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, including confidential personnel information in our HRIS, offers of employment, DOT compliance information, and performance evaluations.
7. Compliance: Work closely with our Compliance & Safety Coordinator to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements associated with the hiring of employees performing safety-sensitive functions. Become an expert in our compliance tools and processes.
8. Employee Engagement: Develop, plan, and execute employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture, boost morale, and promote employee satisfaction and retention. Coordinate with the Director of People to ensure there’s a strong cadence of engagement efforts. Own and manage all employee engagement events.
9. HR Projects: Complete special People team projects such as policy revisions, organizational restructuring, and HR process improvements as needed.
