The IT/Network administrator is responsible for all hardware, software and networking requirements for equipment. The hardware that needs to be supported includes but not limited to printers, scanner, IP phones, monitors, video conferencing equipment, servers and laptops – windows and Macbook. The software will include OS like Windows, Mac OS, Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft AD Domain administration and other application as needed by the employees. The administrator will also be responsible for the Network equipment and administration of the Network within the office and between the offices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsibilities of the Administrator will include but are not limited to:
- Installing and configuring computer systems, including laptops, desktops,servers, for Windows, Linux and MacOS.
- Installation of back-office applications for Windows and Mac including but not limited to Office 365 Suite like Microsoft Word, Excel, power point presentation, Microsoft Teams, Antivirus, VPN Client, etc.
- Responding to employees’ IT support requests. Working with both onsite and
- remote employees to diagnose software, networking, or hardware issues.
- Maintain and support Microsoft Active Directory, mail server and company website.
- Providing assistance in installation of other peripherals like printers, scanners, monitors, IP phones, networking equipment etc.
- Support all aspects of the office network, i.e., local area network(wireline/wireless) in the office, inter-office networking, VPN, and connectivity to the Internet.
- Provide support for office equipment like NAS drives, servers, modem,printers, video conferencing system, TV, voice conferencing system etc.
- Provide effective troubleshooting and accurate solutions to advanced hardware and software computing problems for Windows, Mac.
- Lead technical activities involved in new technology introductions and technology obsolescence, including operating system, core applications(Office, browser, etc.), security tools and other core technologies.
- Proactively track and identify any vulnerability on any of the equipment and take the required steps to mitigate it.
- Proactively track and identify End-Of-Life/End-Of-Support hardware/software and propose plan to upgrade or update as needed.
- Support new technological requirements provided by employees and design solutions to meet the requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science.
Preferred
- Certifications include CompTIA, Network+, CCNA. Other certifications focused on security, networking etc. is a plus.
- Proven work experience as IT support and network engineer/administrator.
- Must have demonstrated technical excellence & extensive experience with PC, laptop (Mac & Windows) hardware and software support environments.
- Experience in supporting Microsoft AD Domain, Microsoft office suite etc.
- Experience with TCP/IP based LAN and WAN networking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have team leadership capability and work well with others
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to work effectively from remote office / home office location, if required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer
