Role Description

This is a full-time onsite role as a Microstructure Analyst located in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina Area. As a Microstructure Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting microstructural analysis on a variety of materials using optical and electron microscopy techniques. You will analyze microstructural characteristics, document findings, and provide detailed reports to clients. Additionally, you will collaborate with the testing team to ensure accurate and timely analysis results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field
• Strong knowledge and experience in microstructural analysis techniques, including optical and electron microscopy
• Proficiency in sample preparation techniques for metallography
• Ability to interpret and analyze microstructural features and provide accurate documentation
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and meticulousness in analysis
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with thermal spray processes and coatings is a plus
