Omnitail (the profit-driven digital marketing agency) is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Specialist, Content Writer, to join our growing team! This Marketing Specialist role is critical in writing compelling content to be used throughout the entire marketing lifecycle, business development collateral, and internal communications. You will work hand-in-hand with the Marketing Specialist, Digital Content Designer, on most projects.
In this role, you can expect to focus on writing, copy editing, and proofreading content for omnichannel digital marketing, sales, and customer service campaigns to help grow and scale the agency. You will also have the opportunity to spread your wings and take on other marketing responsibilities as needed to help you advance your career.
The Marketing Specialist, Content Writer, role reports to the Director of Marketing and works closely day-to-day with all other departments and teams. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in writing both long-form and short-form digital content for marketing, sales enablement, and customer-facing collateral.
This position is full-time remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing, copy editing, and proofreading omnichannel marketing content, including but not limited to:
- Webpages and landing pages
- Social media content
- Long-form digital content (blog articles, case studies, eBooks, guides, press releases)
- Online ads
- Email communications
- Webinar decks
- Writing, copy editing, and proofreading sales enablement materials, including but not limited to:
- Pitch decks
- One-pagers
- Outreach emails
- Call/voicemail scripts
- Publishing and optimizing blog and knowledge base articles
- Writing, copy editing, and proofreading customer-facing educational content
- Repurposing existing collateral for new content creation
- Collaborating on video scripts
- Other marketing duties, as assigned
- Staying current on industry trends and upcoming technology, channels, and online marketing strategies
- Travel may occasionally be required less than 5% of the time
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of experience in writing and editing content for B2B marketing and customer-facing communications using a defined brand voice and style
- Writing and optimizing written web content for SEO
- Writing and editing copy for social media, email communications, and media relations
- Writing and editing copy for one-pagers, eBooks, guides, and other lead magnet/nurture content
- Experience with repurposing content
- Outstanding communication, people, research, and problem-solving skills
- Must be capable of learning fast, following an approved strategy, starting your day on your own, and changing direction quickly
- Experience with HubSpot
- Experience working within Google Business Suite
