Job Description:

About the Company

VivaValet is a pioneering eldercare company dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors through innovative and personalized non-medical services. Our mission is to empower older adults to live fulfilling lives with dignity and respect, while our core values—integrity, empathy, excellence, and community—guide every aspect of our operations.

About the Job

We're seeking an experienced marketing leader to join our team as our Director of Marketing. You'll directly shape our marketing strategy and execution, partnering closely with the Founder to help “olders” age confidently and stay in their beloved homes.

This role is hands-on, requiring someone equally passionate about strategy and tactical execution. You'll split time between managing vendors/contractors and executing yourself - developing campaigns, analyzing performance, and making quick decisions. The ideal candidate thrives in an environment that is lean, scrappy, and focused on fast experimentation.

This role is designed for who is a self starter and energized by early-stage startup pace. You'll lead customer acquisition and drive sustainable growth across all channels. If your comfort zone is primarily managing large teams or extensive resources at big companies, this role likely isn't a good fit.

Responsibilities

  1. Omni-Channel Strategy Leadership:
  2. Partner closely with the Founder to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with company goals and drive growth and brand awareness.
  3. Develop and oversee the execution of comprehensive omni-channel marketing strategies that span digital, social, email, content, print and events.
  4. Ensure a seamless and consistent brand messaging is delivered across all touchpoints (internally and externally), driving high levels of customer engagement and conversion.
  5. Leverage customer journey mapping to identify key interactions, tailor experiences, and create personalized marketing tactics that enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  7. Partner closely with Sales, Creative, CX and Tech teams to ensure the alignment of marketing objectives and strategies across all channels.
  8. Gather insights that inform decision-making and optimize performance across channels, ensuring strategies are always evolving based on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Collaborate with Customer Experience teams to maintain brand integrity and enhance customer interaction points, ensuring consistency in messaging and tone from first touch to post-purchase.

  1. Campaign Management & Execution:
  2. Develop and execute a compelling content strategy across multiple formats to educate, inspire, and convert potential customers.
  3. Drive successful product adoption through effective go-to-market strategies, compelling positioning, and targeted campaigns.
  4. Use data and market research to continually optimize campaigns, ensuring that each channel is performing at its peak, and pivot strategies when necessary.
  5. Oversee the management of marketing budgets, ensuring that funds are allocated effectively to maximize ROI across all channels.
  6. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
  7. Analyze the effectiveness of campaigns across all channels, leveraging advanced analytics to track and report on key performance metrics such as engagement, conversion rates, ROI, and customer lifetime value (CLV).
  8. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on marketing performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  9. Drive continuous improvement by conducting post-campaign reviews and adjusting strategies based on data-driven insights.
  10. Team Leadership & Development:
  11. Lead a high-performing marketing team, starting with 2 vendors/contractors (based in India) today, with an interest in growing our marketing team with time.
  12. Market Trend Analysis & Innovation:
  13. Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in omni-channel marketing, ensuring that our strategies are always innovative and future-proof.
  14. Monitor competitive activity and market conditions, adjusting marketing strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

  1. Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing, with a focus on omni-channel strategies, and at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. Experience in B2C marketing or working in industries like retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods is highly preferred.
  2. Omni-Channel Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing campaigns across multiple marketing channels, including digital (social media, email, content, PPC), traditional media (print, TV, radio), events, and in-store activations.
  3. Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to think both creatively and analytically to develop integrated marketing strategies that drive business growth and customer engagement.
  4. Data-Driven: Proven ability to leverage analytics and customer insights to shape marketing decisions, with proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, marketing automation platforms, CRM software, and other marketing analytics tools.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and strategies clearly to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

  1. Education: A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is required; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

Personal Attributes:

  1. Care for the Olders Mindset: You are passionate in wanting to empower our olders to make their own decisions while providing trusted services that give them the confidence to do so.
  2. Collaborative Spirit: A collaborative team player who thrives on bringing cross-functional groups together and aligning stakeholders around a shared vision
  3. Adaptable: Able to quickly pivot and adapt to changing business environments and marketing trends.
  4. Customer-Centric: Deeply committed to understanding customer needs and delivering outstanding experiences at every interaction.

Who Will Thrive (And Who Won’t)

  1. You'll thrive if... you're genuinely excited to roll up your sleeves and handle tactical execution yourself; you have a strong intuition for consumer marketing, and you understand how to build effective growth strategies that acquire and retain customers.

You might struggle if... your primary experience is managing large teams or extensive marketing resources at heavily resourced organizations; or you prefer to delegate detailed execution and analysis to others.
