Purpose

Marketing Strategy, Planning, and Implementation: The Marketing and Website Specialist will research, plan, and implement marketing and website activities for assigned Extended Education Ventures (EEV) and cross-campus partner programs using a variety of tactics, including digital and traditional advertising, content marketing, e-mail marketing, automated nurture campaigns, and social media.

Responsibilities

  1. Work with Marketing Director and Manager to develop, maintain, and execute a marketing and communications strategy for Center for Professional Education (CPE) and its programs. Maintain current strategy by regularly reviewing, optimizing, and adapting as needed.
  2. Work with EEV’s course programming and enrollment and student services teams to understand priorities and goals. Become an expert on EEV products, programs, and audiences. Examine market, audience, registration, and customer data to plan relevant campaign initiatives using a variety of platforms.
  3. Produce and/or coordinate the production of digital and social media creative assets for paid advertising campaigns on multiple platforms to promote CPE’s programs, track, and report engagement performance metrics, and develop related best practices.
  4. Create and execute integrated media campaigns to promote CPE’s programs (and related offerings), ensuring that the CPE’s brand presence in multiple platforms is relevant and engaging. Establish and track related goals and performance metrics and benchmarks for success.
  5. Maintain and update EEV’s websites and, in collaboration with EEV IT, support maintenance of EEV’s programmatic websites.
  6. Design, develop, and update web pages to support EEV’s internet presence and strategic communications initiatives, completing projects from concept through final production. Assess new standards, technologies, and trends, and formulate plans for future enhancements of web sites.
  7. Ensure websites are accessible from a variety of different environments. Assist the department in the design of its web site including its "look and feel" for brand alignment. Work with University personnel as needed to ensure compliance with established guidelines for usage of logos and University identity icons and applicable legal requirements on web site usage, security, and standards.
  8. Provides excellent customer service to all levels of users and encourages accuracy, timeliness, consistency of style, and navigation across the web site.
  9. Keep current with marketing and website technologies (including but not limited to WordPress, Drupal, Salesforce Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo), and production techniques and software enhancements. May evaluate and test new web development applications. May troubleshoot and repair bugs and problems.
  10. May work on special projects and related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in a field related to the work to be performed. 3+ years’ experience in conducting marketing, communication and website development/management in a professional setting.
  2. Excellent writing and editing skills, including the ability to copy edit marketing and communication content.
  3. Demonstrated ability to use a full range of multimedia storytelling methods.
  4. Deep understanding of, and practical experience with, digital, website platforms, software, and social media platforms.
  5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  6. Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent projects while proactively communicating with stakeholders.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

More than the required years of experience. Experience in marketing continuing, professional, or online education. Understanding of how to build brand awareness, create on-brand messaging, and manage brand assets. Previous experience working with university-specific platforms and administrative systems. Familiarity with university brand requirements.

Salary Range

$53,000+ depending on qualifications
