Paid Time Off:

AMSURG offers paid time off, 9 observed holidays, and paid family leave. You accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each pay period and depending on your position and can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.

Summary:

The Manager of Teammate Relations will manage the employee relations process, policies, and procedures as part of the People & Culture team in accordance with management direction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, document, and provide counsel and recommendations on employee relations issues, supporting all service lines and group geographic areas.
  • Respond to employee relations issues in a timely manner; communicating with Director of People & Culture and Group leadership as needed.
  • Enter, store, and update all information related to employee relations issues into the system of record to ensure adequate and timely records.
  • Identify trends and root cause analysis; work with Director of People & Culture to provide education and training where needed to improve leader and employee interactions.
  • Establish regular and consistent communication cadence with Director of People & Culture.
  • Partner with Director of People & Culture on involuntary provider termination process; ensuring risks are mitigated, documentation is provided; and final termination letters are generated.
  • Partner with Director of People & Culture when trends are identified and how to proactively address within a group/health system/site.
  • Present issues to Director of People & Culture; ensure Directors of Operations are updated on issue resolutions and final recommendations.
  • With support of an HR Representative, assist employees and the Leave of Absence (LOA) team in coordinating the LOA approval process, responding to questions, etc. in a timely manner.
  • Manage HR Representative to ensure Random Drug Screens are completed.
  • Provide feedback on process improvements.
  • Partner with Legal, Director of People & Culture, and HR Business Partners.
  • Read and abide by the company’s code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs.
  • Report any real or suspected violations of the corporate compliance programs, company policies and procedures, harassment, or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the Company.
  • Obtain clarification of policy when necessary; use resources available through the Compliance, Human Resources, or Legal Department to do so.
  • Support and abide by the values of the Company.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Information Security Policies and ensure that AMSURG remains as secure as possible.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.

  • Demonstrate patience and empathy when dealing with employee relations and complaints.
  • Able to apply HR knowledge when dealing with all matters.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College or University.
  • Four or more years’ experience in human resource leadership positions.
  • Broad knowledge of employee relations required.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Case Management Tracking software experience preferred.
  • SharePoint experience a plus.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Workplace Investigation Certifications preferred.

Other Qualifications:

Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as approved in advance. Must pass a background check and drug screen.

COMPENSATION:

Please note, this position is remote. The pay range presented is specific to the Nashville, TN market. Salary bands across AMSURG may differ due to cost-of-living adjustments and are specific to an employee’s address.

Nashville Pay Rate Range:

$79,725.00 - $105,000.00 dependent upon experience.
