Our firm is looking for an exceptional writer with an interest in technology and cybersecurity to join our team of professional proposal writers. The successful candidate will work closely with the rest of the proposal team to develop responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs) for government and commercial opportunities.

We are seeking an individual with the ability to effectively convey information about our services, maintain a consistent voice, and handle multiple rounds of revisions and edits. The successful candidate must be able to live with the urgency of constant deadlines and juggling multiple projects — the nature of the proposal writing profession! And you must be able to play well with others. The key to our team’s success is teamwork and collaboration.

Job responsibilities will include, first and foremost, the ability to create, edit, and deliver compelling business proposals. Doing so will include:

· Studying RFP/RFI documents to determine the information needed for each proposal

· Conducting research on the potential client to inform proposal development

· Analyzing our services and solutions and translating them into proposals that address RFP/RFI requirements

· Revising and editing content developed by other writers to ensure proposals flow and a consistent tone

· Working with the graphic designers to develop any new graphical content needed to enhance the look and feel of the proposal

· Collaborating with SMEs to develop competitive cost proposals

· Being responsive to feedback and revisions

· Ensuring proposals stay on schedule

· Helping to grow and maintain a library of reusable templates and content

Qualifications include:

· A Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with a major in writing

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Strong editing and proofreading skills

· Experience working with Adobe Acrobat

· Experience working with Adobe InDesign is an extra plus

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize requests to meet tight deadlines

· Ability to work independently and take ownership of your proposals

· Ability to collaborate with others
