About the Job

We are looking for a driven IT Specialist who possesses a passion for pushing web technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented engineers to help host, maintain, secure, and update our platforms which include using open-source LINUX, WordPress, PHP, Apache, MySQL, Node.JS, WP Engine, LiquidWeb, and AWS. The IT Specialist will also:

  1. Oversee daily IT operations, develop strategies, and implement new IT procedures where needed.
  2. Protect data with encryption and secure storage.
  3. Collaborate & communicate with other departments and Project Managers to ensure the timely and successful execution of tasks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage daily operations of the IT Department including ownership of WP Engine, LiquidWeb, and AWS accounts.
  2. Develop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow, and improve customer satisfaction.
  3. Perform regular assessments of IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and address any issues.
  4. Provide hands-on management and support for WP Engine, LiquidWeb, and AWS accounts.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress issues, including site speed optimizations and technical errors.
  6. Ensure the security of in-house and customer data through encryption, secure storage practices, and adherence to security protocols.
  7. Assist with the setup and installation of hardware and software for end users.
  8. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., client services, sales, and graphics) to address IT-related needs and ensure smooth operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. MIS / IT Background
  2. Bachelor’s degree Preferred
  3. WordPress experience required
  4. WP Engine & LiquidWeb experience desired
  5. Cloud Based Hosting – AWS Preferred
  6. Hosting of Websites / Environments
  7. Attention to detail, and a customer-oriented approach with multitasking and organizational ability.
