Job Description:

American Threads is a leading Fashion Company in the Southeast. We are looking for an Inventory Specialist who is detail-oriented and has a passion for visual merchandising and product standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overseeing shipment processing/replenishment of inventory and ensuring processing is following American Threads guidelines and standards according to the handbook.
  • Works with the Store Manager to ensure proper levels of inventory are consistently maintained in the store in regards to daily/weekly/monthly sales goals and projections.
  • Oversees all back-of-house operations in regards to organization, cleanliness, and maintenance of standards.
  • Completes bi-monthly Cycle Counts as assigned by corporate.
  • Visual merchandising of new and existing apparel and accessories. This includes but is not limited to monitoring customer behavior in relation to our product, monitoring and managing inventory levels on the sales floor, implementing any visual standards for company-wide promotions, and ensuring product is appealing to customers and represents the American Threads brand.
  • Utilizes Item Summary Reports on a weekly/monthly basis to ensure categories on the sales floor are represented appropriately in order for the store to meet/exceed monthly sales category goals.
  • Responsible for ordering supplies from Portal and Amazon each month (or as needed)
  • Shopping bags, tags, cleaning/office supplies, etc.
  • Assists Store Manager in the training and onboarding of all new associates to ensure employees are being educated on American Threads shipment processing/inventory procedures
  • Submits all inventory discrepancies and invoices to home office in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Completes Direct Shipment vouchering

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Climbing ladders as needed
  • Ability to stand upwards of 8 hours a day

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays according to business needs
  • Must have availability 3-4 days a week to work before store opening hours (5:00 AM - 6:00 AM)

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Attention to detail with a strong ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Strong merchandising and visual skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work weekends, nights and holidays. Ability to work before store opening hours is required

Job Type: Full-time
