Job Description:

The HR Generalist & Office Manager will oversee and administer all aspects of human resources practices and processes as well as the daily operations of the office. This role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently balance HR duties with office management tasks to ensure smooth and effective office functioning and employee welfare.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Human Resources

  • Administer compensation and benefit plans, ensuring competitive salary benchmarks are met and benefits are administered in line with company policies.
  • Oversee recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  • Manage employee relations, addressing any employment issues that arise and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Conduct performance management processes, including employee evaluations and feedback sessions.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to promote a healthy work environment and ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Organize training and development programs to enhance employees’ skills and performance.
  • Maintain employee records and documentation accurately and confidentially.
  • Reconcile timesheets. Verifies accurate payroll deductions and PTO.
  • Manages relationship with benefits broker to ensure accurate benefit enrollment and terminations. Manage Employee Navigator and Paycor feed to ensure accurate deductions and information flow. Participate in benefit strategy meetings.

Office Administration

  • Ensure the office operates smoothly and efficiently, managing office supplies, equipment, and facilities.
  • Coordinate office space allocation and layout, and manage office moves or expansions as needed.
  • Manage contracts and relationships with vendors, service providers, and landlords.
  • Plan and coordinate office meetings, events, and other activities.
  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Handle emergency situations, providing prompt and reliable support for office-related issues.

 

NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

General Direction: Plans and arranges own work. Uses a wide range of procedures to accomplish assigned objectives.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervision: No supervisory responsibilities.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree specializing in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five (5) years of experience as an Office Manager and HR Generalist.

 

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proficient in human resources management, performance management, and hiring.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience working in Manufacturing
  • Experience working with ERP systems
