Who You Are
You are an adept HR professional, skilled in mediating conversations, understanding policies and procedures, and conducting thorough investigations. With a strong background in HR, you excel in producing high-quality documentation, performance tracking, and managing administrative tasks. Your expertise includes posting positions on various platforms, creatively sourcing candidates, and handling the applicant tracking process. You are proficient in conducting initial screenings, and interviews, and coordinating with management for further recruitment stages.
The Role
As an HR Generalist at Muse Paintbar, you will be a key contributor to the daily operations of our Human Resources department. Under the guidance of the HR Manager, you will handle a wide array of responsibilities, including onboarding, compliance tracking, leave management, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding Facilitation: Support and guide new hires through the self-onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
Background Checks and Employment Verifications: Conduct these activities in compliance with regulations.
Employee Relations: Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries, providing clear and prompt responses. Act as a neutral liaison for interpersonal concerns, mediating conversations effectively and providing clear documentation.
Investigation and Documentation: Conduct investigations, document employee concerns, and generate detailed reports.
Compliance Tracking: Manage company records and track certifications, ensuring adherence to legal requirements.
HRIS Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert on our HRIS platform, Paycom, and ensure continuous improvement within the system.
Labor Law and Regulation Awareness: Stay informed on relevant labor laws and best practices across multiple states.
Policy Development Support: Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
Recruitment Support: Post job openings, screen candidates, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate further recruitment processes.
Administrative Excellence: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department.
Role Requirements
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proactive approach and strong continuous improvement skills.
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, Dropbox, E-Verify, and HRIS platforms.
Ability to work 40+ hours per week in a remote environment.
Experience/Education
Minimum of 2 years in a relevant HR role.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in the arts, entertainment, and/or restaurant industry is advantageous.
Physical Requirements
Reliable internet connection and a professional remote work environment.
Ability to work for extended periods at a desk and on a computer.
