Job Description:

Fête is building a revolutionary AI-powered gifting platform that reimagines how people buy, receive, and give gifts – all within a model designed to be inherently sustainable. Our ecommerce storefront is the testbed, but our true innovation lies in the proprietary tech: a smart, scalable gifting engine ready to be embedded across ecosystems—from retailers to neobanks to lifestyle apps. As we grow, we are also exploring adjacent business channels, including the production of luxury goods brands.

As we enter a pivotal growth phase, we are looking for a seasoned marketing leader to unify and elevate the presence of all existing and future businesses within the Fête ecosystem.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to lead the entire marketing function across brand, performance, communications, and partnerships — spanning both DTC and B2B. You’ll shape the story of Fête across three audiences: end consumers, enterprise partners, and potential investors.

As a senior hire, you’ll bring a strategic lens to brand storytelling and demand generation, while also managing day-to-day execution across channels like paid media, SEO, influencer programs, PR, and lifecycle marketing. This role requires agility and consistent realignment — connecting business goals with the right audiences for e-gifting in ways that drive revenue growth.

While this role may not start with a full in-house team, you’ll have support from cross-functional partners and external agencies, all while playing a key role in shaping the structure and future of the marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Storytelling

  1. Define and evolve the brand positioning for Fête, F8X, and future brands across a number of consumer and investor audiences
  2. Lead development of brand voice, messaging frameworks, and visual brand extensions across all customer and partner-facing platforms
  3. Manage the execution of brand campaigns, product launches, and seasonal moments that span ecommerce and B2B contexts
  4. Collaborate with internal and external teams to manage creative workflows, ensuring assets and messaging are consistent, on-brand, and delivered on schedule.
  5. Align messaging frameworks and brand voice to reflect the innovation and market differentiation needed to support fundraising and investor communications.

Growth Strategy & Performance Marketing

  1. Guide overall growth strategy across portfolio, ensuring each business entity has a clear and differentiated approach to acquisition, retention, and conversion.
  2. Evaluate, select, and oversee performance marketing agencies and tools, balancing in-house execution with external resources to drive efficient and scalable growth.
  3. Set strategic goals and budget allocations across paid social, paid search, affiliate, influencer, and SEO/SEM — ensuring plans are tailored to the needs of each business and coordinated across shared platforms.
  4. Monitor growth KPIs (CAC, ROAS, AOV, LTV, retention) and collaborate with finance and leadership to ensure performance marketing efforts align with investor expectations and long-term valuation goals.
  5. Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards that clearly communicate marketing’s impact on business growth, for both internal planning and external fundraising.

PR & Strategic Visibility

  1. Lead Fête Vision’s PR and communications strategy, including agency oversight, founder visibility, and product storytelling across B2C and B2B.
  2. Evaluate, select, and manage PR agencies, event partners, and media platforms to support earned, owned, and experiential marketing strategies.
  3. Oversee influencer and affiliate marketing programs that drive reach, credibility, and measurable performance across business portfolio.
  4. Develop and execute brand awareness strategies across B2C, B2B, and investor audiences – securing media coverage, driving thought leaderships, and leading visibility efforts via industry conferences, speaking engagements, and experiential activations.
  5. Identify and cultivate a mix of traditional influencers and culturally resonant tastemakers — including journalists, Substack writers, indie creatives, and fashion-adjacent voices — who shape cultural conversations and brand perception beyond just reach or follower count.

Essential Requirements

  1. 12+ years of marketing experience across brand and performance marketing
  2. Demonstrated success in both DTC ecommerce and B2B or SaaS environments
  3. Strong foundation in luxury, fashion, or lifestyle categories — ideally with a tech-forward or startup lens
  4. Deep experience in paid marketing, influencer strategy, SEO/SEM, and PR
  5. Proven ability to manage multi-brand portfolios and translate strategy into action
  6. Sharp eye for design and storytelling; able to guide and elevate creative
  7. Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  8. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shaping process in a high-growth startup
  9. Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Why Join Fête?

  1. Build and lead the marketing engine of a multi-brand company redefining how people celebrate, connect, and gift
  2. Shape brand narratives at the intersection of emotion, design, and technology
  3. Work alongside an experienced founder and commercial leader in a nimble, mission-driven environment
  4. Gain visibility and ownership across both consumer and enterprise product launches
  5. Competitive compensation + flexibility
