I'm partnered a B2B payments infrastructure - empowering small and mid-sized businesses to accept, move, and manage money. They are looking for a Head of Marketing to architect, scale, and lead our marketing organization - driving brand, demand, and growth across the U.S. SMB payments ecosystem.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a seasoned fintech marketing executive who thrives at the intersection of payments, technology, and growth marketing. You’ll own the full marketing funnel - from positioning and messaging to pipeline generation and brand amplification - with the resources and autonomy to shape a best-in-class marketing engine.
You’ll be re-building the marketing function from the ground up, creating a scalable foundation for growth while managing and deploying a $10M+ annual marketing budget.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and lead the company’s end-to-end marketing strategy across brand, product, demand generation, and communications.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing marketing organization.
- Own marketing planning, budget allocation, and performance metrics tied to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
Growth & Demand Generation
- Drive measurable growth through digital, ABM, content, and event-based demand generation programs.
- Partner with Sales to optimize the funnel and accelerate qualified lead conversion.
- Develop data-driven campaign frameworks that deliver predictable pipeline growth across SMB and mid-market segments.
Product & Market Positioning
- Own go-to-market messaging and positioning that differentiates the company in the competitive payments and acquiring landscape.
- Partner with Product to translate complex infrastructure capabilities into clear, compelling customer value.
- Leverage market insights to inform strategy and shape the product roadmap.
Brand & Communications
- Build a category-defining brand in the B2B payments and fintech ecosystem.
- Lead content, PR, thought leadership, and event strategies to strengthen brand awareness.
- Represent the company externally across industry events, media, and partner channels.
About You
Must Haves:
- 10+ years of marketing leadership experience within fintech or payments infrastructure.
- Proven track record managing large marketing budgets ($10M+) with a focus on ROI and measurable growth outcomes.
Additional:
- Deep understanding of merchant acquiring, PSPs, and SMB payment ecosystems.
- Strong demand generation and growth marketing expertise - performance-driven mindset.
- Experience building or rebuilding marketing functions in high-growth startups or scale-ups.
- Exceptional leadership, storytelling, and analytical skills; comfortable in both strategic and hands-on execution modes.
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and motivated by driving impact in a fast-moving environment.
