Meta Accounting Services (MAS) is a NY-based accounting firm founded by two St. Johns’ alumni specializing in individual/business tax planning and filing, bookkeeping, and financial consulting services. We are rapidly growing our portfolio and are excited to expand our team.

We are looking for a highly motivated student who is interested in gaining hands-on experience in finance and accounting. You will have the opportunity to wear multiple different hats, engage directly with clients, and learn about the behind-the-scenes of running a small business. See below for more details on the role and responsibilities:

1. Business Operations: Oversee the firm's tax workflow, manage client onboarding processes, prepare financial statements for client businesses, conduct accounting research, and provide support for attestation projects and other ad hoc tasks.
2. Client Engagement: Facilitate client onboarding, summarize client inquiries for review with CPAs, relay CPA insights and recommendations to clients, and participate in team meetings to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
3. Customer Growth Strategy: Drive the firm's marketing initiatives by enhancing online presence, updating the company website and LinkedIn, and implementing campaigns to attract and retain clients.

To ensure you are successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the below experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in progress
2. Highly organized with strong attention to detail
3. Strong written and verbal communication
4. Basic understanding of key accounting principles or willingness to learn
5. Nice-to-have: experience in growth marketing, especially social media
