Job Description:

Bonusly helps your team improve engagement and adopt the behaviors that set them, and your organization, up for long-term success. We make employee recognition meaningful, habitual, and connected to what matters most—helping organizations build cultures where people want to stay and grow together. This role exists because managers are struggling, and the old playbooks aren’t helping.

The way work works has changed. And the old playbooks aren’t helping.

At Bonusly, we believe the strongest teams aren’t built by policies, programs, or annual processes. They’re built through daily teamwork: recognition, feedback, check-ins, and real connection between people doing the work.

That’s where Bonusly is going next:

  1. Building modern tools for managers and their teams
  2. Evolving our platform for HR and people leaders

We’re hiring two Full-Stack Marketers, one dedicated to each of these audiences. In either role, you’ll be the primary marketing lead for your audience—owning how we show up, what we say, and how we learn what works.

We’re looking for someone who can move across:

  1. Product marketing (positioning, messaging, narrative, enablement)
  2. Growth / performance marketing (experimentation, channel testing, measurement)
  3. Content and campaign creation (shipping useful assets that get seen/shared)

What you’ll own

You’ll help build a go-to-market motion that’s intelligible, testable, and grounded in product reality—whether you’re taking something from 0 to 1 or reinventing and scaling what already exists.

You will:

  1. Develop and champion the positioning, messaging, and narrative for your audience/product line
  2. Build a deep understanding of your buyer and their journey—their pain, language, objections, motivations, and watering holes
  3. Partner closely with Product at every step, bringing customer research, market insights, and learnings from experiments to influence vision, strategy, and roadmap decisions
  4. Prove what resonates by running real-world experiments and sharing what you learn, early and often
  5. Challenge outdated marketing playbooks and help us find more modern, effective ways to reach our audience

What you’ll be up to

Tell differentiated, compelling stories you’re proud to put your name on

  1. Develop and champion positioning and messaging for your audience as the product and market evolve
  2. Understand the competitive landscape: where we fit in and stand out
  3. Be real and ensure promises match product reality (no hand-waving or fluff)
  4. Influence and enable internal teams with clarity, conviction, and shared language

Develop the audience and report back on findings

  1. Develop and segment the audience using data, research, and qualitative insight to understand who to focus on, why they matter, and how their needs differ
  2. Design and analyze experiments across paid, organic, and less-obvious channels using clear hypotheses and success signals to guide what we scale or stop
  3. Partner with channel owners to test and refine messaging, creative, and offers—connecting performance data back to audience insight, not just channel metrics

Create and ship without ego

  1. Use AI as a force multiplier for drafting, iteration, and creative exploration
  2. Build campaigns, landing pages, and content that feel vibrant, real, and progressive
  3. Move fast, learn faster, and raise the quality bar with each iteration

Collaborate with and support your colleagues

  1. Partner closely with Product, Design, and GTM to help shape strategy—not just support launches
  2. Bring internal teams and customers along through thoughtful enablement and GTM content
  3. Own “glue work” when needed, helping drive alignment, clarity, and momentum

How you work

You’ll thrive here if you:

  1. Are entrepreneurial and have taken things from 0 to 1 in a startup environment
  2. Are a builder who genuinely enjoys creating top-notch work, regardless of channel or format
  3. Are insatiably curious about your audience, your work, and your craft
  4. Are opinionated but evidence-driven
  5. Are comfortable with ambiguity, take ownership, and don’t wait for perfect briefs
  6. Prefer prototypes over perfection and movement over overthinking
  7. Actively question traditional marketing playbooks instead of defaulting to them
  8. Bring low ego and high accountability. Healthy debate is welcome; alignment matters

At this level, you’ll be trusted to see the work, shape the work, and move the work forward.

Experience & skills

  1. Strong positioning, narrative, and messaging instincts (with examples)
  2. Ability to build and segment an audience (from scratch or via reinvention)
  3. Experience running experiments and reporting learnings (paid, organic, or both)
  4. Analytical mindset—able to translate qualitative insight into quantitative signals
  5. Comfort partnering closely with design on creative direction
  6. Ability to translate product capabilities into compelling, clear stories
  7. AI-literate and actively using modern tools—plus the editorial taste to make output sharp and human
  8. Clear communicator (written + verbal), confident with enablement and cross-functional influence

Note: We’re hiring two BU leads under one job description. During the process, we’ll align you to the best-fit role based on your experience and preferences:

  1. Building a new audience of managers to support a 0 to 1 PLG motion
  2. Reinventing and scaling our SLG motion to drive growth among HR buyers

Titles, degrees, and years of experience matter less than creative judgment, critical thinking and previous impact.
