Freelance Writer

GeistM is looking for a versatile and skilled Freelance Writer to contribute to our diverse array of websites. This role will focus on crafting high-quality affiliate articles, organic/SEO content, and sponsored content across our owned and operated websites. The ideal candidate will have experience writing for content niches (such as entertainment, lifestyle, finance, travel, societal issues, sports, and digital marketing, etc.) and be adept at tailoring their style to meet different audience needs and platform standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Produce engaging affiliate articles for a range of topics relevant to our sites.
2. Develop SEO-driven content to enhance organic search visibility and engagement across all owned sites.
3. Create compelling sponsored content that aligns seamlessly with both partner expectations and our brand voice.
4. Collaborate closely with the content team to brainstorm, plan, and execute innovative content strategies.
5. Use SEO best practices and tools to research and integrate keywords effectively.
6. Ensure all content meets high-quality standards for accuracy, readability, and impact.
7. Keep abreast of industry trends to continuously improve content and adapt strategies.

Qualifications

1. Demonstrated experience in content writing, specifically in one or several areas covered by our owned sites: entertainment, lifestyle, finance, travel, social justice, sports, and digital marketing.
2. Strong SEO background with a track record of increasing search engine rankings and traffic.
3. Ability to adapt writing style and tone to different target audiences and content formats.
4. Excellent research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
5. Experience writing for multiple industries and brand types
6. Ability to collaborate with remote teams
7. Experience using Google Drive, especially Google Docs
8. Comfortable working with project management tools, such as Monday.com.
